HOW IT BEGAN

My initial years were in Bangalore working for Infosys.  Working in such a progressive, large company made me understand and appreciate the potential of growth and team work. When i took a personal break to parent my little girl, it allowed me to realise the perspective of my career and future expectations from it.

When Capital 9 started in 2008, i took up the role of handling admin, HR and finance verticals keen to bring in my combination of corporate and parenting experiences.

WHAT INSPIRES ME

Trying to provide a close knit working environment where the entire team feel like family has always been a core philosophy. One of my favourite challenges to rise up to is responding to client requests with proposals that are processed effectively and efficiently in the shortest possible time!

MY BIGGEST LEARNING

Hard work along with discipline in every aspect of life is what brings you success- there is NO substitute for it. I also believe that the nature of destiny will be good if one is good natured in every way – ethical and transparent communication to care for others prosperity and well being in key!

HOW IT BEGAN

While working at ICICI I came across lot of SME clients who did not had access to proper advisory on various products related to fund raising. Promoters mostly had to run pillar to post before finding the right product for their business. This gap formed the foundation of capital9 with the idea of providing bespoke services for raising any kinds of funds.

WHAT INSPIRES ME

Meeting entrepreneurs every day, listening to their vision and dreams and providing them with the requisite information which can help them leap frog to higher limits gives me the high of being in the capital industry.

MY BIGGEST LEARNING

Meeting new people and Networking with them is critical for any business, but the most important point is to have long relationships and ensuring that apt service is provided to keep these relationships alive.

ASPIRATIONS

To provide an easy to use digital platform for any kind of fund raising requirements for SME and corporates and helping them get the best deals with right products within the right time frame while sitting at their offices and focusing on their core business.

HOW IT BEGAN

I grew up in a salaried, middle class home in Uttar Pradesh, where career preferences were for the ‘secure’ multinational jobs and entrepreneurship was frowned upon.  Deep within though, I fancied a future to be on my own feet as an employment creator, held back only by a fear of it’s uncertain success. I spent 10 years in the corporate banking world, working in high responsibility roles in banks such as HDFC bank, ICICI bank and Cholamandalam DBS. Finally, in 2008, I let my growing confidence and ambition become the wind beneath my wings and decided to start Capital 9. An effort to transform every dream to reality of both ours and the clients we choose to serve.

WHAT INSPIRES ME

It may sound clichéd, but my work is my inspiration – each client, their way of functioning, their challenges and strategies come together to create success stories that amaze, teach and inspire. Each of them is a dreamer and achiever in their own fields. Their ability to convert our capital to their success is always highly motivating.

MY BIGGEST LEARNING

There is no substitute for hard work and honesty. If we carry out business in an ethical manner with transparency, sky is the limit. Client interest first has always been our approach and this continuously drives us on a day-to-day basis.

ASPIRATIONS

I aspire to make Capital 9 a name to reckon with in the field of financial advisory across India. With government initiatives for Make-in-India, Indian economy is poised to grow exponentially in years to come. We would like to contribute our bit to the nation by providing capital at the right cost, right time and right structure to budding entrepreneurs.

I came to Bangalore to first study and then started working in a multinational bank, the kind of career start that can be very thrilling to a newcomer wanting to make a mark in the field of banking. However, the lack of a personal touch and protocol being put ahead of truly personalized services made me realize that I needed to re-define my career to reach my expectations. As luck would have it, Capital9 was growing from its strong reputation of being customized solutions, ethical services company and had the place for me to practice my ideologies.

I am a sportsman and always believe in taking the positive from yesterday, towards the promise of tomorrow without any fear of failure. I am driven by belief that hard work and optimism is important for a brighter, better future ahead.

You are what you believe you can be. It is a very large world of tremendous opportunity and nothing can hold you back from it when approached with optimism and confidence.

HOW IT BEGAN

My work experience of over 23 years in various industries such as Automobile, Telecom, and Mortgage has given me an in-depth understanding of the financial needs critical to any business. Whether for expansion, diversification or building stocks I strive to arrive at an analytical solution.

By working with ICICI and IndusInd Bank I realise that each bank has strengths and limitations and this led me to be a part of Capital 9, where I see an opportunity to advise clients to the right financial institutions who can support the specific need with best possible services.

WHAT INSPIRES ME

India is a growing market and i am driven by the satisfaction literally seen in the eyes of the client after we provide a solution for their financial need. This inspires me to interact with people and provide the right solution.

MY BIGGEST LEARNING

Over the last 23 years of my work experience I have learnt that you can build businesses by providing the correct solution to your clientele who in turn will refer new customers and that is the most cost effective way to build businesses.
